<h2>&nbsp;Commercial Roofing Estimator </h2> Location: Austin, TX Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are hiring an Estimator to support residential and commercial roofing projects. This position focuses on evaluating job requirements, building accurate project estimates, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.This is a hands-on role that combines fieldwork, estimating, and client communication. You will also contribute to improving internal estimating processes and tools as the team grows.What You'll Do<ul><li>Visit job sites to assess roofing conditions and collect project details</li><li>Build clear and accurate estimates for roofing and related exterior work</li><li>Complete material takeoffs using plans, measurements, and digital tools</li><li>Assist with pricing for new construction, replacements, and restoration projects</li><li>Review project documentation, including insurance-related scopes (training available)</li><li>Communicate with customers, team members, and external partners to confirm scope and pricing</li><li>Track estimate activity and updates using company systems</li><li>Work with operations and suppliers to align project costs and materials</li><li>Help improve estimating templates, processes, and documentation standards</li><li>Stay informed on roofing materials, installation methods, and local requirements</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>Background in construction estimating, roofing, or a related field preferred</li><li>Understanding of common roofing systems (shingle, metal, flat roofing such as TPO, etc.)</li><li>Ability to read plans and perform quantity takeoffs</li><li>Comfortable learning estimating and insurance software (e.g., Xactimate)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and time management skills</li><li>Clear communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Experience with Excel or similar tools is a plus</li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Base salary plus performance-based earnings</li><li>Training and onboarding support, including estimating tools</li><li>Opportunities to grow within a developing team</li><li>Consistent workflow with a mix of residential and commercial projects</li></ul>
